- Yellow-green, very small leaves
- New cultivar, still very rare
- Very compact growth habit
- Narrow leaf shape
- Well suited for nano aquariums
'Pangolino Green Tea' is a new selection of the very small-leaved Pangolin Anubias. It has a very light yellow-green hue, hence the name 'Green Tea'. The plant grows very compact, with lanceolate, overlapping leaves, which is why the parent cultivar was named after the pangolin (Scaly anteater).
Like other Anubias barteri forms, Anubias barteri var. nana 'Pangolino Green Tea' is an easy, albeit very slow-growing aquarium plant. It is primarily a perching plant that attaches itself to hard materials such as wood or rock with its roots. The light requirement is low. Addition of CO2 is not absolutely necessary, but can promote growth. The plant develops best with a complete macro- and micronutrient supply via the water column. Propagation is done by dividing the creeping rhizome and cutting off side shoots.
Anubias barteri var. nana 'Pangolino Green Tea' fits well into nano tanks or small aquariums with its size. Among the mostly dark epiphytes, it stands out with its bright, yellow-green colour and allows interesting, contrasting plant arrangements on the hardscape.
